Plan your Agent-a-thon
Agent-a-thon by Cloud for Work

Turn Copilot licences into agents your people build and own.

Agent-a-thon is a facilitated agent programme for business teams, not developers. Each team starts from a task it repeats every week, builds a first working agent on the day, and leaves with a named owner and a plan to finish it.
Delivered in the UAE by a Microsoft adoption and change management specialist.

Supplier Follow-up Agent

Built at Agent-a-thon by the procurement team

Problem Chasing late supplier deliveries by hand, every week, from three spreadsheets.
Users Six buyers, in Microsoft Teams
Knowledge Open orders tracker and supplier contracts, SharePoint
Owner Procurement operations lead
Data Approved copy, screened with IT
Built by business users, no code
Your real work, not a demo lab
Screened with IT, not around it

we were Chosen by Leading Teams

Copilot licences do not build agents.
Your people do, if someone shows them how.

Usage stops at chat

People ask Copilot questions. Nobody has turned the task they repeat every week into an agent.

Use cases stay in slides

Workshops produce lists of ideas. None of them has an owner, a data source or a date.

IT is worried, with reason

Employee-built agents on unapproved data are a risk. Blocking everyone is the usual answer, and nothing gets built.

What you walk away with

Not a certificate and not a list of ideas. A set of first agents, each with a problem that was tested, a person who owns it and a plan to finish it.
01

A first working agent per team

Built on the day from the team’s own task, on approved or synthetic copies of their data.
02

Problems that passed a test

Each one checked at the table for real users, data that exists and a number that can move.
03

A named owner for every agent

The person who does the task today owns the agent tomorrow, with a baseline to measure against.
04

A clear path through IT

Data sources and actions screened in the room against your rules; anything that needs review is flagged with a next step, not dropped.
05

People who can build the next one

Every table has used Agent Builder and Copilot Studio on their own problem, not on a sample company.

How Agent-a-thon runs

01

Prepare

Two weeks before: participants balanced by function and Copilot skill, a demo environment with approved or synthetic data, agreed with your IT and security team.
02

Find the task

Each table starts from a task someone at the table repeats every week, maps how it runs today and puts a baseline on it.
03

Validate

A facilitator checks every table before lunch: real users, data that exists, one action, an owner. Weak ideas are fixed here, not discovered at the demo.
04

Build

Ninety minutes in Agent Builder or Copilot Studio with a coach for every five tables and three checkpoints, from our Hack Pack.
05

Show

Every table presents in three minutes: the problem, the agent, one awkward case, who owns it next. A show-and-tell in the Workshop, judged with awards in the Build Day.
Want the agents finished, not just started? The Challenge adds four weeks to extend them on approved data, a checkpoint, and a judged final.
